Grants and Scholarships:

Fastweb:
Fastweb is a free scholarship search platform that connects students to scholarships and financial aid tools. They also provide students and their parents with helpful information to help them navigate the college journey.
Local Scholarships:
Local scholarship opportunities will be communicated to current seniors as soon as they become available, typically during spring semester from February through March.
A+ Scholarship Program:
The A+ Scholarship Program provides scholarship funds to eligible graduates of A+ designated high schools who attend a participating public community college or
vocational/technical school, or certain private two-year vocational/technical schools.
To be eligible for assistance you must meet the following requirements:
1) Be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident;
2) Enter into a written agreement with your high school prior to graduation;
3) Attend a designated A+ high school for 3 years immediately prior to graduation;
4) Graduate with an overall grade point average 2.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale;
5) Have at least a 95% attendance record overall for grades 9-12;
6) Perform at least 50 hours of unpaid tutoring or mentoring, of which up to 25% may include job shadowing prior to graduation;
7) Maintain a record of good citizenship and avoid the unlawful use of drugs and/or alcohol while in the grades 9-12;
8) Have achieved a score of proficient or advanced on the Algebra I end of course exam or higher level DESE approved end of course exam in the field of mathematics.

College and Career Information:
Dual Credit vs. Dual Enrollment -
Dual Credit classes are taught by high school teachers that have been approved by a college or university to be adjunct professors and are taught at the high school. Students will enroll within the first 4 weeks of class.
Dual enrollment classes are taught by college or university professors, and the school district has arranged to award high school credit for the classes. Dual enrollment classes are often taught at the college/university site. Students enroll in advance according to college/university deadlines.
OTC Career Center:
The OTC Career Center is a way for eligible high school junior and senior students to get a head start on their career, and college education. Students use state-of-the-art equipment and experience hands-on skills learning. Strafford participates in morning sessions. Classes are from 8:00am to 10:30am at OTC. For detailed
